Hi, its been a while since our last post. We have been working non-stop to add the Job component and to include enhancement requests suggested by our users. We are very encouraged by the number of new users, and look forward to this continuing as we go forward. If you use Facebook, tell the friends on your list about us, and encourage them to tell theirs. The more users we have the more useful the site will be….

New Features

We have had requests from users to allow for multiple skills to be added to their profiles. We thought long and hard about this during development, and felt that it would be better to make users focus on the skill that they really want to market, otherwise it would be too easy to have 10 or more skills for each user. This way people looking for skills can be sure that the skill they find is the main skill of the person concerned. We are, however, keeping this in mind as a possible future option.

Bug Fix Update

There was a problem with some of the data in the additional information text boxes not being saved. This was due to a restriction on the amount of information that we were allowing to be stored so that we could ensure a speedy response to all of our users. As we have had some requests in this regard we have now increased the size of the amount of data that can be stored. There is still a limit but there is now enough room for much more information.

We have had some further teething problems with our live server port but we are now finalising our go live. As soon as we are live, you will be able to register as a user and start to benefit from Skill4Trade….

We are now nearing the end of our port to live services, and plan to be in full production on 14th June 2009.
